About Pirate Swim Club The Pirate Swim Club is a year round swim club based out of Magna, Utah and is a feeder program for the Cyprus High School Swim Team. In the winter months we swim in the Cyprus High School pool and during the summer we move outdoors to the M agna Rec Center. Our goal is to help instill a passion for swimming and to help propel our swimmers into high school swimming and beyond. We believe that through hard work, discipline and dedication our members can go on to get a scholarship and swim in college.

Summer Swim Club Enrollment
The Pirate Swim Club Summer Swim Team is accepting new members. The club is headed by the coach of the Cyprus High School Swim team and focuses on improving swimming technique, speed, fitness and on having fun in a team environment. Pirate Swim Club team members have the option of swimming in competitive swim meets against other Utah swim clubs throughout the summer. Pirate Swim Club Run/Walk the Plank Fundraiser
We are excited to announce the annual Pirate Swim Club Run/Walk the Plank 5K run and 2K walk on September 24th 2011. Please show your support by registering today. Fill out the attached registration form and return it to the Pirate Swim Club by September 8th to participate. The registration fee includes a T-shirt and the chance to win some fabulous prizes. Summer Schedule
Our summer swim time will be Monday through Thursday from 5:00-6:45pm at the Magna Rec Swimming Pool. March Swimmers of the month
We would like to congratulate Adam Saucedo and Katie Christofferson – they are March’s swimmers of the month.
Adam is in the 6th grade and has 2 brothers and one sister. Along with swimming, Adam enjoys snowboarding and watching the George Lopez show. His favorite foods are pizza and homemade tortillas with beans.
Katie is in the 5th grade. She also has 2 brothers and one sister. Katie enjoys snow skiing and waterskiing and shoe shopping. Katie’s favorite food is chips – any kind of chips – potato chips, Cheetos, Doritos, etc.

Coach’s Corner
New Coach: We would like to take this time to introduce you to a new coach. Her name is Liz Adams. She is currently a teacher at Matheson Jr. High. Liz has been involved with swimming for many years. Recently she was involved with the swim club in Rexburg, Idaho. We are very excited to have her as part of our coaching staff.
